Greetings,
My name is Chuck Hand and
I cuurently reside in Port St. Lucie, Fl. I developed this website which I utilize to keep interested people informed
about opportunities to learn the Argentine Tango, where to go to dance it, and related special events along the Treasure
Coast area of Florida. It has even expanded to include links for the entire state of Florida as well. I also host, along with
the help of good friends of mine, the popular;
a monthly milonga in Jensen Beach, Florida and the occasional "Blue Moon Milonga" at the same studio!
|
|
| Our primary coverage area |
Is absolutely FREE!
But if you want more up-to-date info such as local and regional Tango news, reminders
and notices of milongas and special Tango related events, then please send me your email address and you will then be
included in my "Tango friends" network. It's an easier way to stay current
because things always seem to be changing. I also maintain full privacy of your email address.

PUBLISHER
I am the creator and publisher of the original "Treasure
Coast Tango Connection" emailed newsletter, which I started in the fall of 2006 and which
this website replaced. After much frustration in locating learning venues and local milongas , and of only hearing
through word of mouth of opportunities for the Argentine Tango in my area, I decided to compile and share detailed information
to those also interested in this very unique and passionate dance. This a constantly changing world and I am glad to help
keep everyone up-to-date!

My computer desktop background, right click on it to save it to yours!
You ask; "What is a Milonga?"
The word Milonga has three meanings in the world of Tango;
First, it is a particular dance style that is simpler
and rythmic, has a 6-count basic pattern and is also lots of fun to dance to!
Secondly, its the particular dance music that you
dance the Milonga to and has a very distinct beat to it.
Thirdly, its also what we call a Tango social dance
party where Tango, Milonga, and Vals (tango waltz) music are danced to.
So, you can actually dance a Milonga to a Milonga at a Milonga! And this is a
very good thing..................................................!
My You-Tube
video playlist has a mix of Tango show and performance videos, some club performance clips, music videos from Neo-Tango groups,
Tango movie clips, and even an animated Tango clip! This is a much easier way to see some great Tango and not have to mess
with downloads to your computer. Feel free to email me any other You-Tube videos to add to this list. Just click on the icon above to get to the playlist!
