Many critics of Tango Milonguero say, "Tango Milonguero is easy, you only have to embrace your partner well and that's it."

This comment is completely false. Our dance, which contains the essence of tango, is precisely beautiful because it finds its purpose in the little things. Finding this is not an easy task.

We admire a person who can be expressive in a few words, or another, who, with minimal gestures, demonstrates his worth. The people who are balanced (emotionally and otherwise) are respected, valued, worth imitating or, at least, we want to have their qualities.

As a true reflection of life, the milonguero finds in his partner the justification of his dance. He doesn't dance for the crowd, he dances for his partner, and he knows that if he makes his partner happy, he will also be happy.

This harmony, then, without trying, is also beautiful to the people who are watching.

Real life, full of responsibilities and difficulties, doesn't allow us to value small things. To stop and enjoy them is a virtue of the human being.

In all activities, be it sports, literature, art, etc., there are those who stand out because they make things simple. They have the power of synthesis.

The Milonguero dance is like that: anti-hero, low profile, concise, and there is where it has its worth.

The truly difficult thing is to make something easy. Translating these concepts to tango, we must discover the simplification of movement that makes it comfortable. To really find this added value gives pleasure to our dance.

What are those figures worth which drag our partner or force an unnecessary move? To simplify the dance is important and therein lies the secret to finding its pleasure.

It is my opinion, when learning tango; it doesn't serve one well to learn figures by themselves. While this may seem easier for you - the student - when you get on the dance floor it becomes really difficult. It is more important for you to learn how to move your body - the difficult thing - so that when you go on the floor dancing becomes easy.

Finally, I don't mean these words to be controversial; they simply explain wherein lies the magnificence of the Tango Milonguero."
